Who We Are

IMG_0040_edited.jpg

Owner and Teacher/Choreographer

Makenzi Dwyer is a lifelong Flex Point dancer whose passion for the art has grown from her first class at age 4 to becoming the studio’s owner. She began competing at 7 and went on to become a nationally ranked soloist and group dancer, earning numerous high‑point awards, scholarships, and the titles of Teen Miss Dance and Senior Miss Dance.

From ages 9–15, Makenzi also modeled for Glamour Costumes, appearing on the cover twice. Her love for teaching emerged early as well—she began assisting with choreography at 12 and started training gymnasts in dance technique at 16. While in college, Makenzi began teaching at Flex Point because she couldn't wait to start her career as a dance instructor and choreographer.

Makenzi is honored to carry forward the legacy of Sally and Nicole Doerr at Flex Point. Like the Doerr women, she is committed to helping young dancers discover their potential by building strong technique, confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for dance.
